about me.
I am a 21-year-old college student, triple majoring in Political Science, Spanish, and Latin American Studies at Ohio Wesleyan University. I love Sunday afternoons, my friends and family, late nights, Freakonomics Radio, sarcasm, Twizzlers, cooking, Delta Gamma, iced tea, NPR, porch parties, and the 860. Born in California, raised outside of Chicago, prep school in Connecticut, and now in Vermont/New York while at college in Ohio…I've been all over! Ever since I can remember I’ve had a ceaseless curiosity about the world and have taken every opportunity to explore new cultures and meet new people. I will be living in Buenos Aires for one year, studying, working, playing, and traveling throughout the Southern Cone.
This blog is not only to keep my friends and family at home updated on my South American shenanigans, but also to chronicle my experiences for me to enjoy and relive when I return stateside. I’m glad to be able to share my experience abroad with everyone who has supported me and my passion for international studies, Latin American cultures, and expanding my horizons. I will capture the essence of Buenos Aires and South America through words, photos, music, articles, videos, and any other forms of media that I feel will help me portray my magical life in Buenos Aires. I hope that I am able to depict my love for this incredible country in such a light that will one day compel you to come and experience the romance, energy, culture, and allure of this vibrant South American city, which have changed my life.
Un abrazo,
AMH.
